Abe Cunningham, on the drums. Tuned and always on time Abe’s drums gives, as the others members, what the band needs on that moment of the song. No more to say, perfect is the word and it stills not enough… Abe started to like to be a guitarist but his step-dad always played drums and so, he got in loved with drums, he says that with drums we can do such different things, that with any other instruments is possible.
He’s another Iron Maiden fan, as a drummer he considers Stewart Copeland (The Police), Ginger Baker, Mitch Mitchell as the greatest. For Abe’s one of the most important thing on Deftones ascension was the chance to tour with Bad Brains, a band that he kept a place on his heart.
Abe’s wife Annalynn made a guest appearance on “Mx” singing along with Chino Moreno.
Abe is a beer consumer, he really loves beer. He also loves 007, the secret agent…he’s a James Bond freak. And his kind of woman is Winona Rider.
